PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a solid electrolytic capacitor for reducing equivalent series resistance. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the solid electrolytic capacitor is provided with a process (b) for performing electrolytic conversion treatment on an anode object 1 and an anode lead object 2, and forming a dielectric oxide film 3 on a whole face of the anode object 1 and a partial surface of the anode lead object 2; processes (c) and (d) for immersing the dielectric oxide film 3/[anode object 1 and anode lead object 2] in mixed liquid 30 of 3 and 4-ethylene dioxythiophene and 1-butanol, and forming a monomer layer 40 on the dielectric oxide film 3; and a process (e) for immersing the monomer layer 40/dielectric oxide film 3/[anode object 1 and anode lead object 2] in mixed liquid 50 of 3 and 4-ethylene dioxythiophene, 1-butanol, and p-toluenesulfonic acid iron (III), and forming a conductive high polymer layer 4 on the dielectric oxide film 3.
