PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic semiconductor device that has improved insulating characteristics and has a large on/off ratio of current flowing between source and drain electrodes, to provide a manufacturing method of the organic semiconductor device, and to provide a display element having the organic semiconductor device. SOLUTION: For the organic semiconductor device, an insulating layer 3 contains macromolecular particles. The manufacturing method of the organic semiconductor device has a process for forming the insulating layer 3 by using dispersion where the macromolecular particles are dispersed or that where inorganic particles and the macromolecular particles are dispersed.
