<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication device for a vehicle, which sets an authentication level up to the optimal one in accordance with a using state of the vehicle and a parking spot. <P>SOLUTION: This authentication device for the vehicle has an authentication treatment ECU 7 to output an authentication result by finding a matching degree of biological information of an occupant and biological feature information stored in a memory 8 and by comparing the matching degree and the authentication level with each other, and is also furnished with an immobility ECU 4 as an inaccurate use risk detection device to detect an inaccurate use risk estimated in accordance with a vehicle state, a navigation device 9, etc. The authentication treatment ECU 7 characteristically changes the authentication level in accordance with the inaccurate use risk at a point of time of biometrics authentication treatment detected by these devices. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
