<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for modifying the conductivity of a molded plastic article, and to provide a molded plastic article having excellent conductivity. <P>SOLUTION: A crown shape-held article 14 produced from polyamide 66 reinforced with glass fibers is immersed in supercritical carbon dioxide containing an antistatic agent to apply a modifying treatment of impregnating the surface layer portion of the crown shape-held article 14 with the antistatic agent.
