<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document editing apparatus to immediately display an edited image to which a process is applied by displaying an input image data and by conducting an editing setting from the displayed image. <P>SOLUTION: In the document editing apparatus 10, an operation display portion 11 displays by two modules of an input display module in a state reading by a scanner 1 and an editing display module to which an editing process is applied by an editing portion 13. An analysis portion 12 analyzes which attribute is a document data to be input among attributes including a character, a photo image, an intermediate tone image, a chart image, and others, and divides it into document constituting elements based on the analyzed attribute. The operation display portion 11 receives the editing by a contact input and a variety of editing inputs from the two display modules, and the editing portion 13 edits each document constituting element by the received setting.
