PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof switch assembly, simple, easily manufactured, and effective. SOLUTION: A motor-driven device includes: a surface 7, which can touch the skin; and a body 3 having the waterproof switch assembly 9. The motor-driven device is useful for treatment for the skin, and transmits the mechanical force to the skin. The switch assembly includes: a substantially planar fitting part 43 having an opening; a rotatable shaft 39 passing through the opening; and seals 55, 56 backing the opening to limit the motion of water along the shaft. In another embodiment, a waterproof switch assembly includes: a first translational element 31 constructed to move substantially in a plane within a first plane 73; a rotatable shaft 39 engaged with the first translational element; a second translational element 71 constructed to move substantially in a plane within a second plane 81; a substantially planar fitting part 43; and seals 55, 56 surrounding a through hole to make the through hole waterproof.
