TRANSFER FIXING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable image formation by a transfer fixing system which enables high image quality and reduced energy.

SOLUTION: A rotatable end portion pressing body 31 having a spring 30 contacts with one end portion of a transfer fixing roller 13 and an end portion pressing body 33 connected to a solenoid 32 contacts from the other end portion of the transfer fixing roller 13. It is configured so that the solenoid 32 is set so as to obtain a horizontal reciprocation of a stroke of 6mm per 500 sheets for instance, based on the information of the total number of passed sheets of the image forming apparatus and the transfer fixing roller 13 is moved in a width of 6mm according to the horizontal reciprocation. A paper passing area is relatively moved to reduce the wearing of a transfer fixing body by a sheet edge portion and to improve durability.
