<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long axial body movement monitoring device capable of mechanically monitoring the maximum movement of a long axial body, such as a power cable, and, what is more, through the mechanism of a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: The long axial body movement monitoring device includes: a supporting section that supports a long axial body and has a protruded piece protruded from its outer surface; a base section that is installed and fixed on a fixed surface and controls the movement of the supporting section to the direction in which the movement of the long axial body should be monitored; and a movement indicating section having a rod provided on the base section in parallel with the above direction, separately from the supporting portion, and two movable members that are movably attached to the rod and are propelled only in the directions in which they are moved away from each other by the protruded piece. The rod includes two rows of no return teeth arranged in opposite directions along the direction of the length of its outer circumferential surface. Each movable member includes: a base material attached to the rod; a lever piece that is rotatably supported on the base material and has an engaging lug; and biasing means for biasing the engaging lug toward the no return teeth. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
