PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce manufacturing costs with a simple structure by dispensing with a ball for opening and closing an orifice, and its pressor, and reducing the number of components. SOLUTION: This expansion valve 1 comprises the orifice 40 movable formed on a bottomed hole 36 formed in a valve body 2, an operating rod 60 for moving the orifice 40, and a needle valve 30 fixed to the bottomed hole 36, and changing an area of a flow channel with the orifice 40 by moving the orifice 40. As the conventionally-used ball as a valve element for opening and closing the orifice and its pressor become unnecessary, the number of components can be reduced.
