PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact magnetic refrigerating machine having high reliability in operation, and capable of performing high-speed refrigerating and being easily handled. SOLUTION: This magnetic refrigerating machine comprises a thermosyphon unit 100 provided with a magnetic material changing its temperature according to increase/decrease of magnetic field, on a cylindrical container end portion, and constituted by thermally connecting thermosyphons 1a-1e in which a refrigerant is enclosed, in series, a cooler 3 mounted on one end of the thermosyphon unit for cooling a cooled object, a radiator 4 mounted on the other end of the thermosyphon unit 100 for radiating the heat of the cooled object, and cylindrical permanent magnets 2a, 2b capable of being mounted in opposition to the thermosyphon unit 100 for increasing and decreasing the magnetic field to the thermosyphons 1a-1e.
