A method for manufacturing a color filter is provided to allow omission of an overcoat process and secure surface flatness by using ink with a minimized solvent content. A plurality of partition walls are formed on a substrate. The ink having a solvent ranging from 0 to 20 weight% is filled in a region surrounded by the partition wall, and is hardened to form a pixel part. A prebake process for removing solvent included in the ink is omitted. The ink has viscosity proper for inkjet jetting. The viscosity is less than or equal to 80cP at a room temperature. The ink includes a monomer having viscosity of less than or equal to 80cP at a room temperature, and/or a hardener or a hardening accelerator. The hardening is made by light, heat, or both light and heat. After the pixel part is formed, a thermal treatment is performed. |
