#CMT# #/CMT# An apparatus and a method for automatically controlling audio/video SYNC (synchronization) are provided to sense a screen signal of a display apparatus by wireless and to measure the volume of audio/video delay by means of a microphone. #CMT# : #/CMT# An A/V (Audio/Video) source device (210) reads audio/video data from a recording media such as a disc or a tape and outputs the read data to an AV processor (220). A display device (230) displays the video signal output from the A/V source device through a display panel such as a TV or a monitor. A video-audio converter (232) is attached to the front of the screen of the display device and converts the video signal into an audio signal. The video-audio converter converts the brightness information of the screen into an electric signal, generates a predetermined frequency signal from the point when a signal level above a critical value is detected and reproduces the signal into a sound.
