A sun shade of a sun roof for an automobile is provided to slide a shoe and a guide rail in a linear contact manner and reduce rattle noise due to a small gap during running on a tough road. A sun shade of a sun roof for an automobile includes guide rails(10), a synthetic resin sun shade plate(20), guide members(22a,22b), a support member(23), a fixing projection(24), and a soft synthetic resin shoe(30). The guide rails are fixed to both sides of a roof frame. The synthetic resin sun shade plate slide along the guide rails in a reciprocal manner. The guide members are installed at both sides of the sun shade plate. The support member is integrally formed with the fixing projection. The soft synthetic resin shoe is inserted into upper and lower surfaces of the fixing projection. A hooking projection(32a) is integrally formed with front and rear surfaces of the support member.
