A line motor of expanding and contracting motion is provided to perform a linear operation through the expanding and contracting motion by changing the polarity of electromagnetic cells. A line motor of expanding and contracting motion includes a control cell(107), a fixed electromagnetic cell(108), a reversible electromagnetic cell(109), and a corrugated box(105). The power is supplied to the control cell(107) and the fixed electromagnetic cell(108). When the control cell(107) repeatedly reverses polarity of power of the reversible electromagnetic cell(109), the line motor having the corrugated box(105) repeats contracting motion(102) and expanding motion(103) while starting a motion in an equilibrium status(101).
