<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel battery cell with performance stable for a long time by suppressing degradation of electromotive force by electron conductivity of a cerium oxide in which a rare earth element is present in the form of solid solution and by suppressing increase in internal resistance (polarization resistance). <P>SOLUTION: The fuel battery cell of this invention comprises a solid electrolyte layer 11, fuel electrode layers 12 sandwiching the solid electrolyte layer 11 and facing through the solid electrolyte layer 11 and an air electrode layer 13. The solid electrolyte layer 11 comprises a first layer 111 arranged on a side contacting the fuel electrode layer 12 and in which the rare earth element is solid-dispersed in the cerium oxide, a secondary layer 112 as an intermediate layer consisting of a serrate oxide represented by MCe<SB>1-x</SB>R<SB>x</SB>O<SB>3-α</SB>(where M is an alkaline earth metal element, R is a rare earth element, x is 0.05≤x≤0.20, and α is a number matching a stoichiometric ratio of M, Ce, R and O in the composition formula), and a third layer 113 arranged on a side contacting the air electrode layer 13 and in which the rare earth element is solid-dispersed into the cerium oxide. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
