EXHAUST EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM AND PURIFICATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new type exhaust emission control catalyst system adaptable to various mounting specifications (a shape, size and position).

SOLUTION: The exhaust emission control catalyst system uses ceramics or heat resistant metal as a porous filter B or a catalyst carrier A. The divided porous filter and/or the catalyst carrier is arranged by three or more in series along a flow of exhaust gas inside a casing forming an exhaust gas passage. Thus, the novel exhaust emission control catalyst system capable of optionally adapting a shape, structure and size can be constructed and provided in response to mounting specifications.
