<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for industrially advantageously producing a carboxylic amide. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the carboxylic amide comprises reacting a carboxylic acid with an amine (excluding a tertiary amine) in the presence of a triaryl carbenium compound comprising a triaryl carbenium cation and a monovalent anion. A compound represented by formula (1) (wherein, Ar is an aryl group which may be substituted; Y<SP>-</SP>is a halide ion, an alkylsulfate ion which may be substituted, an arylsulfonate ion which may be substituted, a hydrogensulfate ion, an alkylcarboxylate ion which may be substituted, an arylcarboxylate ion which may be substituted, a nitrate ion, a perchlorate ion, a tetrahaloborate ion, a hexahalophosphate ion, a hexahaloantimonate ion, a pentahalostannate ion or the like) is cited as the triaryl carbenium ion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
