<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet cutting device which facilitates setting of a sheet between a fixed blade, and first and second movable blades, and allows suitable cutting of the sheet from both lateral ends toward an intermediate portion, and to provide a printer equipped with the same. <P>SOLUTION: The sheet cutting device 14 can open a sheet feeding passage located above a cutting edge 71 of the fixed blade 66 by relatively moving a fixed blade frame 67 and a movable blade frame 86. The first and second movable blades 81, 82 are supported by a first spindle 83 and a second spindle 84, respectively, on a front side of the cutting edge 71 of the fixed blade 66, and the movable blades are arranged such that moving tracks of cutting points 106, 126 of the respective movable blades during cutting operation overlap each other. Then a movable blade driving means 85 operates the first and second movable blades 81, 82 such that the first movable blade 81 antecedently carry out cutting operation and then the second movable blade 82 follows the former in interlock with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
