PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for removing weld spatter/slug residues capable of reducing the frequency of occurrence of improper detections and enhancing the defect detection accuracy by removing residues of the slag and the spatter remaining on a weld joint when carrying out the ultrasonic flaw detection of the weld joint of a welded steel tube. SOLUTION: The device for removing weld spatter/slug residues is arranged on the upstream side of an ultrasonic probe and has a scraper with a blade tip being brought into contact with a weld joint, and an ejection nozzle in an ultrasonic flaw detector for performing the ultrasonic flaw detection of the weld joint of a welded steel tube.
