PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television apparatus wherein a display apparatus can be downsized, a degree of design freedom can be ensured, improvement of fine view is advantageous, and sound with excellent sound quality can be obtained. SOLUTION: The television apparatus 10 includes the display apparatus 12 and a stand 20 for supporting the display apparatus 12. The stand 20 is configured to include a first stand unit 20A, a first arm 24 projected upward from an upper part of the first stand unit 20A, and a second arm 26. The first stand unit 20A includes a cover 2256 being a hollow member. An upper end of the cover 2256 is extended in a direction obliquely in crossing with a first virtual plane orthogonal to its axis center and cut by a second virtual plane directed in front of a front face of the display apparatus 12 to form an opening 2280 to the upper end of the cover 2256.
