The hollow box carrier structure, for walls and ceilings and the like, has upper (1) and lower (2) multi-layer boards each with at least two layers (1.1,1.2,2.1,2.2), using solid wood. Vertical struts (3.1,3.2) are between the boards of thick coniferous planks and/or block boards with wide block layers (4.1,4.3). The hollow boxes (9) are surrounded by insulation layers (5). The structure is bonded together by a formaldehyde-free adhesive or vacuum pressing.
