The profile (1) has an L-shaped or U-shaped cross section, and a mounting bar (2) provided for fixing at a support. The mounting bar and a covering flange (4) are arranged at an appropriate right angle. A dent is formed at an intersection area from a mounting bar to the covering flange such that a projection is formed at the covering flange around the width of the dent over an extension of the mounting bar in a direction of the flange.
