PURPOSE:To obtain a main magnetic pole with less wear, by constituting a high permeability magnetic substance and a main magnetic pole supporting member forming a main magnetic pole of a vertical magnetization recording head with the same type of substance having different magnetic characteristics. CONSTITUTION:A main magnetic supporting member 11 is formed with a substance having the same kind of crystal structure as a high permeability magnetic substance like gadolinium, gallium and garnet, and a high permeability magnetic substance 12 such as yttrium, iron garnet and spinel ferrite is grown to deposit crystal on the member 11 by the thickness of the main magnetic pole and the result is etched in the form of the main magnetic pole. The construction of the main magnetic pole is that the high permeability magnetic substance 12 is imbedded in the supporting member 11. Thus, no region of different hardness exists at the tip of the main magnetic pole in contacting with a recording medium the same as the constitution of the same type of material, allowing to avoid deformation and wear of the high permeability magnetic substance. |
