Provided are block copolymers, which are superior in thermal and mechanical properties, and polymer electrolytes using the same, which have excellent durability and are efficiently and reasonably produced through a simple process. The block copolymer has a structure represented by a formula (1). In the formula (1), R is at least any one selected from at least any one aliphatic polyolefin polymer selected from polyisoprene, polybutadiene-polystyrene random copolymer, and polybutadiene-polystyrene block copolymer, or at least any one functional group-containing aliphatic polyolefin polymer selected from functional group-containing polyisoprene, functional group-containing polybutadiene-polystyrene random copolymer, and functional group-containing polybutadiene-polystyrene block copolymer, and R' is polyarylic aromatic polymer. In the R, the functional group is a sulfone group.
