A base station loop test method is provided to enable a BSM(Base Station Manager) of an RNC(Radio Network Controller) to conduct loop tests for each internal function block of a base station, thus an operator can more variously and easily perform the base station loop tests even without directly visiting the base station. After an IP(Internet Protocol) connection between an RNC and a base station is completed, a base station loop test request is received from the RNC to establish virtual terminals among internal configuration blocks by using an HDLC(High-level Data Link Control) bus(S21,S22). A loop section select command is received from the RNC so that loop sections can be selected in the internal configuration blocks according to information of the corresponding command(S23-S25). A loop command is received together with diagnostic cells from the RNC so that the corresponding diagnostic cells can be looped in the loop sections, and the looped cells are returned to the RNC so that the cells can be monitored(S26-S34). |
