An apparatus and a method of compensating an earphone output according to earphone impedance are provided to obtain a uniform audio output level by compensating a difference of internal impedance of the earphone without affecting an audio output circuit. An apparatus of compensating an earphone output according to earphone impedance includes an audio amplifier, an earphone impedance detecting unit(200), and a controlling unit(190). The audio amplifier amplifies an audio signal processed to be suitable for an audio output apparatus into a certain level, and outputs the amplified signal. The earphone impedance detecting unit(200) is electrically connected with an earphone connecting unit, and outputs a signal corresponding to impedance of an earphone connected to the earphone connecting unit. The controlling unit(190) calculates the impedance of the earphone according to the output of the impedance detecting unit(200), and controls amplification of the audio amplifier. |
