PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire vulcanizing mold which can facilitate the determination of a pressurization condition in the upsetting of a green tire, and a method for manufacturing a pneumatic tire by using the tire vulcanizing mold. SOLUTION: Sensors 6a, 6b and 6c for sensing that the green tire T comes into contact with a tread molding surface 3Xa are each arranged in the center molding are 3Xc of the tread molding surface 3Xa for molding a center part T3c of a tread part T3 of the green tire T, and both the shoulder molding areas 3Xs of the tread molding surface 3Xa for molding both shoulder parts 3Xs of the tread part T3 of the green tire T.
