PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel storage system for reliably executing priming to fill fuel in a fuel supply passage by using a fuel transfer means for transferring the fuel from a second fuel storage part to a first fuel storage part. SOLUTION: A dual fuel tank system 10 comprises a main tank 12 for storing fuel to be supplied to a diesel engine 18, a sub-tank 14 for storing the fuel independently from the main tank 12, and an electrically driven pump 20 for transferring the fuel from the sub-tank 14 to the main tank 12. The electrically driven pump 20 uses a three-way valve 42 for changing over a flow path so that the application can be changed over from a fuel transfer mode into a priming mode in which the fuel is filled into an empty fuel supply line 16 to remove air therefrom. A tank ECU 36 for controlling the electrically driven pump 20 operates the electrically drive pump 20 on condition that the diesel engine 18 is stopped when the priming mode is selected.
