PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-dispersed pressure-sensitive adhesive composition comprising a water-dispersed pressure-sensitive adhesive obtained by copolymerizing a monomer mixture comprising mainly an alkyl (meth)acrylate with a silane-based monomer, which scarcely causes an increase in the force required for peeling from a release liner and a backing layer coated with a silicone-based release agent, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet. SOLUTION: An organic compound capable of combining with a silane-based monomer, in an amount of 0.005-1 part by weight, is added to 100 parts by weight of a polymer obtained by copolymerizing a water-dispersed monomer mixture comprising mainly an alkyl (meth)acrylate with a silane-based monomer to prevent a heavily peeling phenomenon.
