PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polyester by which variation of polycondensing reaction in the next step is suppressed and the homogeneous polyester can stably be produced by suppressing the variation of carboxy end group concentration of a polyester oligomer fed to a polycondensation reaction tank according to a simplified method. SOLUTION: The method for continuously producing the polyester comprises preparing slurry composed of a dicarboxylic acid and a glycol in a slurry preparation tank and continuously feeding the resultant slurry to esterification reaction tanks in a fixed amount, carrying out the esterification reaction using the plurality of esterification reaction tanks and subsequently carrying out the polycondensation. In the method for producing the polyester, the temperature of the raw material dicarboxylic acid fed to the slurry preparation tank and the slurry temperature in the slurry preparation tank are measured to change the temperature of the glycol fed to the preparation tank so that the slurry temperature is constant.
