<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel fuel cell that is extremely light and compact capable of giving each membrane electrode assembly uniform surface pressure, and capable of being easily manufactured. <P>SOLUTION: The center 61 of each of separators 6b stacked with the membrane-electrode assemblies 5 pinched is formed into an elastic curved surface shape a cross-section arc shape, and each stacked separator 6b is pressed from an edge 62 toward the center 61 so as to bias to push up the center 61 of each separator by its elasticity in a state that the edge 62 of each separator 6b is fastened with a bolt, so that each membrane electrode assembly is laminated through each separator 6b by a uniform surface pressure, and thereby a fuel cell 1b of a serial stack structure that is light, compact, and easy to be manufactured is provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
