PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing a stator core in which production process is simplified by omitting a step for assembling a steel plate magnetic body portion and a powder magnetic body portion, and also to provide a stator core. SOLUTION: In a split core combining a steel plate magnetic body portion 11 and a powder magnetic body portion, an adhesive (not shown) is applied to the opposite end faces 11a and 11b of the steel plate magnetic body portion 11 formed by laminating silicon steel plates, the steel plate magnetic body portion 11 is placed in the molding dies 21 and 23 of a press molding device along with the powder magnetic material 17 and then press molded, thus press molding the powder magnetic body mold.
