<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method of a plasma display device capable of reducing false contour and reducing the length of a subfield. <P>SOLUTION: In the plasma display device, a plurality of row electrodes performing a display operation are driven by being divided into first (G<SB>1</SB>) and second row groups (G<SB>2</SB>), and the row electrodes of the first and the second row groups are driven by being divided into a plurality of sub-groups (G<SB>11</SB>, G<SB>12</SB>, G<SB>27</SB>, G<SB>28</SB>). The row electrodes is driven by sustain discharging light emitting cells of at least one first subgroup among a plurality of second row groups while selecting the non-light emitting cells among the light emitting cells of at least one subgroup among a plurality of the subgroups of the first row group during a first period in the first subfield among the plurality of the subfields of one field. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
