PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve throughput by reducing the number of OFDM symbols in one frame. SOLUTION: A receiver receives a signal notifying control information indicating the arrangement of frames. The receiver is provided with a receiving section for receiving a signal of a target frame to which at least one pilot symbol including a known symbol for generating a reference signal for demodulation and a data symbol are assigned; a pilot control unit 110 for analyzing a pilot symbol assigned to another frame different from the received target frame based on the control information; and a propagation path estimator 107 for generating a reference signal for demodulation based on the pilot symbols each assigned to the target frame and the other frame, when using the pilot symbol assigned to the other frame, and generating a reference signal based on the pilot symbol assigned to the target frame when not using the pilot symbol assigned to the other frame.
