PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus, an image processing system, a program and a recording medium which can improve safety in security of control corresponding to a marking image. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus 10 includes: a registration means 72 for registering limited image data to which a marking image indicating a security limit is imparted; an image comparing means 66 for comparing input image data input from an image reading means 62 with the registered limited image data to determine whether the limited image data matching the input image data are being registered; a detection means 64 for detecting the marking image in the input image data; and a control means 68 which stops executing requested processing in a case where the image comparing means 66 determines that the matching limited image data are being registered and further, the detection means does not detect the marking image corresponding to the one imparted to the matching limited image data.
