<p num="1"><br/><br/><br/>A method and system are described that enhance the computational simulation, <br/>such as a fluid flowing through a porous media, under the present techniques. <br/>In particular, a computer implemented simulation method is described that <br/>includes initializing a simulator and utilizing an intelligent performance <br/>assistant to select a set of parameters and algorithms for the simulator. <br/>Then, equations are solved with the set of parameters and algorithms and the <br/>solution to the equations is then obtained.<br/>
