<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress such a situation that excellent toner conveyance on a toner conveying substrate 20Y is inhibited by magnetic carriers adhering to the surface of the substrate. <P>SOLUTION: The toner conveying device is provided with: the cylindrical toner conveying substrate 20Y which has a plurality of conveying electrodes arranged in a line at predetermined pitches; a supply roll 14Y which supplies toner in a developer including the toner and the magnetic carriers to the surface of the toner conveying substrate 20Y; and a conveyance power supply circuit not shown in the figure, which outputs pulse voltages to be supplied to the plurality of conveying electrodes of the toner conveying substrate 20Y. The toner conveying device is configured so that the pulse voltages are applied to these conveying electrodes respectively, to hop the toner on the surface of the toner conveying substrate 20Y in a circumferential direction and convey the toner up to a developing area which is a position facing a photoreceptor 2Y, and then, the hopping toner is adhered to the electrostatic latent image of the photoreceptor 2Y in the developing area, to obtain a toner image. In this configuration, the magnetic carriers adhering to the surface of the toner conveying substrate 20Y are transferred to the surface of a removing roller 31Y by electrostatic force, to be removed from the surface of the substrate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
