PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographic device with a photographing light, which does not require provision for an optical sensor and has proper operability for a user. SOLUTION: When the user determines an image on a monitor to be dark and performs brightness enhancing operation with an image brightness control key, a control part detects in step S2 that "brightness-enhancing operation has been performed" and checks (S3) the set value of image brightness. The control part raises the set value of image brightness by one step (S4), if the set value is "not a maximum" in S3. When the set value of image brightness is a "maximum" in S3, next processing S5 is started. When the photographic device is in a "close-up mode" in S5, light control in S6 and subsequent steps is started, because the effect of the photographic light appears on a short-distance subject when it is in "close-up mode". In light control, the control part checks the on/off state of the light (S6) and turns on the light when it is in the "off state" (S7).
