PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning blade capable of satisfying all of cleaning performance, compactness and adhesive properties between a plate-type holding material and a plate-type elastic blade member as a cleaning blade. SOLUTION: A superimposing margin part, having predetermined width on one-side edge side of the plate-type elastic blade member 2, comprising polyurethane rubber composition by metallic mold integral forming is fixed at one-side edge part of the plate-type holding material 1, and both of them are integrated. When it is assumed that the plate-type elastic blade member 2 is formed to have a thickness A, the superimposing margin part on the one-side edge side thereof is formed at a thin part 2a and a distance (free length) between the other-side edge of the plate-type elastic blade member 2 and the rear edge of the superimposing margin part is B, the cleaning blade is set to satisfy B≤12mm and 2≤B/A≤6.
