PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel pump impeller for improving pumping efficiency, and to provide a fuel pump using the same. SOLUTION: A backward inclination angleαformed by a line segment 110 connecting a radial inside end 37a of a backward face 37 of a vane groove 36 to a radial outside end 37b, and a line 104 extending from the radial inside end 37a along a radius 102 of the impeller 30 to the radial outside is set in a range of 15°≤α≤30°. A forward inclination angleβformed by a line segment 112 connecting a center 37c in the thickness direction of the backward face 37 to both ends 37d of the backward face 37 in the thickness direction of the impeller 30 and a line 106 extending from the center 37c in the thickness direction along the peripheral direction forward to the rotating direction is set in a range ofβ≤60°.
