<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus where a fixing device is surely cleaned. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus equipped with the fixing device having a cleaning mechanism 3 which collects toner remaining on a fixing roller 1 is equipped with a control means 21 which performs control to carry out the cleaning operation of the fixing roller when the number of printed sheets attains a specified number after finishing a printing job, and postpone power source turn-off operation to comply with a power source turn-off requirement input in the midst of the cleaning operation until the cleaning operation is finished. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
