PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an escalator passenger fall preventive device which is easily and safely used only when required by a passenger, and capable of preventing fall of the passenger by supporting a body of the passenger. SOLUTION: The escalator passenger fall preventive device comprises a fixing means 3 to be fixed to a handrail of an escalator only in an oblique range of the handrail 2, and a body supporting means 4 which is connected to the fixed means to support the body of a passenger. The fixing means comprises: a holding body having a body part placed on the handrail and a holding part extending from the body part and movable between a holding position for holding the handrail and a non-holding position separated from the handrail; an obliqueness detector which is provided on the holding body to detect that the holding body is placed on the oblique part of the handrail; and an operation device which is provided on the body part of the holding body and operated by the obliqueness detector to move the holding body to the holding position.
