PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically discover and classify event data within noise, and to quantitatively deduce a relative frequency of a population in multidimensional data set such as, for example, a frequency of WBC type in a prescribed blood sample of human being or an animal. SOLUTION: The present invention is a system and a method for identifying the population of events in the multidimensional data set, such as seven-dimensional flow-sight-metric data of a blood sample, for example, a set of data or a cluster expressing different leukocyte components in the sample.
