摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle motion controller capable of properly preventing occurrence of an excessive roll angle in a vehicle while excellently maintaining turning-trace performance. SOLUTION: The vehicle motion controller generates inner front-wheel braking force only in an inner front-wheel in a turning direction at a relatively early stage in which an absolute value ¾Gy¾ of an actual lateral acceleration is not lower than a value Gy1 and not higher than a value Gy2, and also, generates inner rear-wheel braking force in an inner rear-wheel in the turning direction in addition to the inner front-wheel braking force when the ¾Gy¾ becomes not lower than the value Gy2 and not higher than a value Gy3 during overturn prevention control. By this, it is possible to excellently maintain the turning-trace performance by forcibly generating a yawing moment in the same direction as the turning direction while suppressing increase of the roll angle by generating vehicle height reduction force inside a vehicle body in the turning direction. When the ¾Gy¾ becomes not lower than the value Gy3, outer wheel braking force is generated in an outer front-wheel in the turning direction in addition to the inner rear-wheel braking force. Consequently, it is possible to suppress the increase of the roll angle by forcibly generating a yawing moment in the direction opposite to the turning direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
