The vault has an alarm device or signal transmission unit integrated in the interior of a safety container to signal opening attempts with an effective mechanical, electronic, electromagnetic or acoustical opening code. The signaling or an alarm signal is effected during the opening attempts with an invalid opening code and can be transmitted by a mobile radio telephone network. The alarm device or signal system can be deactivated before authorized opening of the container. An independent claim is also included for a safety container of a vault or safe.
