A method for generating a contents synchronization list and an apparatus therefor are provided to store broadcasting contents interested by a user in a portable contents player. A portable device interface module(150) acquires a contents list from a portable contents player. A contents synchronizing module(170) arranges the first contents corresponding to a previously stored broadcasting program according to user preference, and generates a synchronization list for synchronization with the portable contents player on the basis of the first contents arranged according to the user preference and the second contents set up as a non-deletion object in the acquired contents list. The contents synchronizing module(170) compares the contents list with the generated synchronization list, and performs the synchronization with the portable contents player.
