PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing unit and an image forming device which can fix the toner images formed on a recording medium while applying a softener to them and can maintain the fixed image quality. SOLUTION: The fixing unit 90 has a fixing roller 91 also working as a softener supply means to supply a fixing solution 93 containing a softener to a transfer paper P which is a recording medium, and a pressure roller 96 to press the transfer paper P in the fixing nip where to supply the fixing solution 93 and the softener.
