PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holder for a self-standing storage bag made of a soft material such as a fabric or resin film for making the bag self-standing and keeping its opening wide open for facilitating bagging work. SOLUTION: This holder for a self-standing storage bag is made of a restorable sheet material 11 and it can be converted from the first condition where it is expanded in a sheet or half-rolled condition into the second condition where it is tubularly rolled up, and also it can be restored from the second condition to the first condition by the restoration force. When the holder in the second condition is mounted inside of a soft storage bag 20, because of the restoration force the holder expands and presses the inside face of the bag 20 and both side ends 13, 14 of the holder partially superimpose making it possible for the bag to stand up by itself with its top end kept open.
