Method and winder for winding a material web

The method involves providing a material web (7) with a glue trace (11) during changing of the material web from support rollers (1-3) to winding cores (8-10), where the glue trace runs diagonally with respect to a web running direction. The material web is wound at the winding cores through the glue trace and simultaneously separated from the glue trace in the web running direction. A glue nozzle is provided for applying the glue on the material web and is movable over the entire breadth of the material web. An independent claim is also included for a winding machine for winding a material web on a winding core.
