A shuttle valve comprises a valve body 10 having a bore 12 closed at each end by plugs 16, an inlet port 20 in each plug and an outlet port 24, each of the plugs having a seat 22, an aluminium valve member 26 reciprocable in the bore, a socket 34 in each end of the valve member, and a resilient seal 36 in each socket, the valve member being shifted into engagement with one of the valve seats to close the associated inlet port in response to pressure fluid delivered through the other inlet port and having a cylindrical central portion 28 and end portions which are non-circular in crosssection thereby to provide for the flow of fluid from the selected inlet port to the outlet port.</p> |
